It is a great privilege to have our school in such a wonderful setting as New Lanark. The pupils were delighted to participate in the project, “Shadows of our Ancestors”. They thoroughly enjoyed working with Jean and Tim and were so pleased by the lovely comments made to them after their performance. Thanks very much for giving us the opportunity to be involved in the World Heritage Day celebration.

Lovely to hear about what you’ve all been doing with the story of ‘Donald the Seal Catcher’. There are quite a few selkie stories in Orkney too and I was lucky enough on Saturday to hear someone tell the story of ‘The Selkie that Deud No Forget’ in dialect.

It looks rather like an Ocean Youth Trust boat – I sailed to St Kilda in 1994 on Taikoo. It was amazing!
